Van Horn enjoyed his finest season in New Jersey during the lockout-shortened 1998-99 campaign, averaging a career-high 21.8 points and 8.5 rebounds across 42 games. That scoring average ranked fifth in the NBA.

Still just 23, the former second overall pick had established himself as the Nets' primary offensive option alongside a young Stephon Marbury, who arrived in a mid-season trade from Minnesota.

As the information superhighway exploded in popularity, Fleer/Skybox released this iconic insert.

A nod to this new Internet thing, featuring 15 scoring legends known for screaming their way taking the ball to the net. Kind of like our 56K modems at the time screaming each time we hit the ‘net.

Fleer completely embraced the concept, giving each player a faux email address, using photography of most players aggressively taking it to the net and even including a fan mail message on the back of each card.

These cards are a true late 90’s internet time capsule that’ll bring back memories for anyone who was a basketball fan during the era of dial-up modems, chat rooms and the early days of the World Wide Web.
