Garnett continued his ascent in Minnesota's fourth season, averaging 20.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists across 47 games in the lockout-shortened campaign. Named to the All-NBA Third Team and finishing 10th in MVP voting, he was already one of the league's most versatile big men.

The Timberwolves went 25-25 and returned to the playoffs, though the 1999 All-Star Game was cancelled due to the lockout.

As the information superhighway exploded in popularity, Fleer/Skybox released this iconic insert.

A nod to this new Internet thing, featuring 15 scoring legends known for screaming their way taking the ball to the net. Kind of like our 56K modems at the time screaming each time we hit the ‘net.

Fleer completely embraced the concept, giving each player a faux email address, using photography of most players aggressively taking it to the net and even including a fan mail message on the back of each card.

These cards are a true late 90’s internet time capsule that’ll bring back memories for anyone who was a basketball fan during the era of dial-up modems, chat rooms and the early days of the World Wide Web.
